501 Engine & Power Turbine Testing

501 test facility

RWG USA’s test facilities are the most sophisticated in the industry.

The water brake dynamometer test beds have load capability up to 10,000 horsepower. Data acquisition is computerized and acceptance tests include multi-point report generation.

Engines are tested per manufacturers standards in gaseous, liquid, dual-fuel and DLE configurations. Industrial two-shaft engines are tested using a dynamometer with a slave power turbine in liquid or gaseous configurations. RWG USA is the only company who can offer power turbine testing under temperature and load conditions.

The 501 Engine

With a power range from 3.9 to 6.4 MW, the 501K range of engines draws upon 40 years of evolution and derived from the T56 engines.

Repair & maintenance 501K turbine engine

The aero-derivative design of the 501-K series engine provides a lightweight, modular product that helps lower operation costs through improved fuel consumption, extended hot section life and ease of maintenance.

All new 501 gas generators can be configured to run on gas, liquid or dual fuels at thermal efficiencies of up to 31%. Dry Low Emissions (DLE) technology is available.
