Engine and Power Turbine Overhaul Specialists
The Repair and Overhaul facilities in Houston, Texas comprise in excess of 30,000 square feet (2,787 m2) of shop floor area, with 85 employees servicing over sixty 501K type engines per year.
In addition to the 501K engine, RWG Inc. supports the full overhaul and test of Dresser-Rand GT22 and GT40 Power Turbines. RWG Inc. is also the OEM for the KSS Power Turbine.
Rolls Wood Group Inc. is a fully Rolls-Royce (RR) accredited aftermarket service company or Approved Maintenance Centre (AMC) and is the exclusive USA repair facility for RR contracts on all aero-derivative 501K based installations.
Engine and Power Turbine Testing
Our four state-of-the-art test cells located in Oakland CA and Houston TX offer a full range of engine testing capabilities including- Liquid, Gaseous, Dual Fuel and DLE
- Digital, Analogue and Hydro-Mechanical Control
- 10,000 HP Water Brake Dynamometer (Oakland)
- 25,000 HP air dynamometer (Houston)
- Multi-point report generation
- Test the Dresser-Rand GT22, GT40 and KSS Power Turbines under temperature and load conditions to simulate on-site conditions
- Test the industrial 501K Dry Low Emissions (DLE) engine in accordance with the manufactures specification
Dedicated Engineering and Component Repair
RWG constantly looks to improve performance in technical expertise, speed of response and cost reduction. We have the unique achievement of having developed over 1,500 unique repair schemes for the 501K with a dedicated engineering team and an in-house component repair facility. These teams are located both in Houston and Aberdeen in order to cross-fertilise with the other industrial engine types.This expertise and experience makes RWG the established market leader in the provision of gas turbine services across the globe.
